All I can say is I have a passion for fishing that only a fellow angler can understand. I have been fishing for over 30 years. I went to Captains School in 2004 and became a licensed U.S.C.G. captain. During the following years I pursued my dreams of becoming a fishing charter boat captain and shared that passion and enthusiasm for fishing with my customers. The results of chartering exceeded my expectations like I couldn't imagine. Besides the great fishing excursions that my clients experienced, I found my niche in life, because I am doing something I love to do.
My specialties and two favorite ways to fish are shallow water bucktailing for fluke and skinny water Striped Bass fishing. Following the bait and looking for structure has given me great success in becoming the avid and successful angler who I am today. I also make my own rods and harvest my own fresh bait.
When I'm not out fishing I can be found on the pages of Noreast SaltwaterandNoreast.com. I am their Long Island Sound Moderator and post under the name onemoredrift a.k.a. (OMD).
2010 was quite an exciting year being a guest angler on George Poveromo's World of Saltwater Fishing show on Versus T.V. and also a speaker at a few of his Salt Water Seminar Series.
August 2009 was featured in Northeast Boating magazine. Click on the following link to read. Making the Connnection by Tom Tripp. Enjoy!
